This morning Willow Walk practiced mindful eating in Yoga. We started our yoga session practicing breathing skills. Then Sona,l fed us a piece of fruit while we were closing our eyes. We were mindful and had to concentrate, tasting every part of the fruit. Then we guessed which fruit we had tasted. We have been practicing mindful eating at snack and lunch times, where we eat quietly and carefully, take our time, serve our friends and have a discussion about where the food has come from, made of and be thankful to our cook for providing it for us.
To finish the Yoga session, we did a memory game with poses. We stood in a circle and showed a pose to our friends. Then the next person copied that pose and introduced a new pose. Then the 3rd person copied the first two poses and introduced another new pose. We continued copying and introducing a new pose one by one until we reached the first person. It was very tricky to remember all the poses our friends had done, but our memories did a great job in recalling!
