The children in Moonglade Studio have been learning different ways of independence and self-reliance. Educators have been leading guided sessions on emotional regulation, social skills and self-expression. The children have also been showing an increased capacity to organise themselves and ‘have a go’ before seeking assistance.

independence being encouraged in children at the Moonglade Studio

They choose activities to work on in the room, go and get a drink if they need one, serve their own food and address their toileting needs (or at least start to recognise them) themselves.
