In Moonglade Studio, the educators have been teaching a variety of ball games to the children. Basketball, soccer and handball are the children’s favorites!

Rolling, throwing, catching, dribbling and kicking balls during ball games improves a child’s motor skills, hand eye co-ordination, creativity, timing and social connectedness.

When children are very young, the simple observation of a ball rolling introduces a child to the concept of cause and effect. Also, teaching rules around ball games teaches children early on about rules when engaging in co-operative play.

Introducing balls of different textures, sizes and firmness encourages children to explore different uses for balls and come up with ideas for games.

Being active and healthy are promoted in our studios; our group sessions often focus on healthy eating and active lifestyles, especially as the weather warms up and we head outside for play.
