How do live sessions work?
Read the steps below to find our how the Aurora Digital Learning Program Live Sessions work. We look forward to connecting with you and your children!
Step 1
Aurora educators design live sessions. To design these, they use:
- the Aurora centre-based programs
- observations of individual children and their development
- the Aurora curriculum, Aurora KFAs and the Early Years Learning Framework
- Village Voices and Family feedback.
- Reflections on the previous live sessions.
Step 2: Families register for the sessions
Families register for the live sessions. Families can register using the following links:
- Under 3s Registration Link
- Over 3s Registration Link
Registrants will be send a confirmation with the link to the Zoom session between 4:00-8:00 pm the day before the session. Please note we will be approving up to 15 participants per session on a first register first admit basis.
Step 3: Check what you need for the session
Live sessions may require you to prepare a few simple resources before the session. Resources needed will be updated on this page two days before the live sessions. Try to make sure you have these resources available for your child to use during the session!
Step 4: Attend the session!
At the allocated time, click on the Zoom link to join the session. Our educators will be admitting people from the waiting room for up to five minutes after the session start time. Enjoy the session!
Once the session is over, take a few moments to reflect on your child’s learning here. This will allow our educators to plan for the next session!
Step 5: Register for the next session!
Our DLP educators will use observations of the previous session, your reflections and the Aurora Curriculum to plan the next session. Try to attend the next session to ensure a continuum of learning for your child!
These sessions are tailored for children who are Under 3. Once your registration is complete, we will send you a secure Zoom link to login to the session with. Below, you’ll find information about each session!
