We’ve got a holistic way of thinking at Aurora

We’re focused on providing a safe, healthy and natural environment for children to learn, play and thrive.

Our enrolment process at Aurora is designed to be as parent-friendly as possible

Enrolment and orientation

Aurora offers full time and part time positions for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. All positions are for the full day, allowing families to attend at any time during operational hours.

Full Time – children who attend five permanent days (Monday to Friday)
Part Time – is anywhere from two days to four days
Extra days – Families may request an extra casual day as required, however they are subject to availability as rooms may not exceed their license capacity.

Priority of access guidelines

Aurora is required to adhere to Department Of Education guidelines when filling placements:

Priority 1– A child at risk of serious abuse or neglect
Priority 2– A child of a parent who satisfies the work, training, study test
Priority 3– Any other child.
Within these priority categories, priority is also given to:

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families
Families that include a disabled person
Families on lower incomes
Families from non-English speaking backgrounds
Socially isolated families
Single parent families.

We understand leaving your child for the first time can cause separation anxiety for both of you. We aim to make the process as comfortable as possible. We strongly encourage you to take part in our orientation process – it will help create a positive experience and make your child feel safe and happy in our space.

Take advantage of our 2 x one hour complimentary orientation visits – they’re a great opportunity for you, family members and your child to get to know us better and understand our routines.
